
Andrea Lavazza is an Italian scholar of philosophy of mind, and cognitive science, based in Milan, fellow of the Centro Universitario Internazionale (International Universitary Centre), Arezzo.
His main interest focuses on the emerging field of neuroethics, which he considers a new frontier both of the empirical research and the conceptual analysis. He wrote and edited three books in Italian and published articles in international peer reviewed journals.
Lavazza is currently contributing to a project devoted to the enhancement of creativity by means of transcranial direct current stimulation, and writing about how the concepts of autonomy and authenticity are reshaped by the findings of neuroscience.
He works also as a scientific journalist.
